Google is set to open its brick-and-mortar office in Pune. A recent press statement by Anil Bhansali, vice-president of Cloud Engineering India, has talked about the company starting its operations in Pune by the second half of 2022. The first set of “Googlers” would be in the domain of Cloud Product Engineering, he said.

Garena Free Fire, 53 other ‘Chinese’ apps banned "Latest Tech News"

The Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended a ban on 54 Chinese mobile applications, including the popular game Garena Free Fire. Interestingly Garena Free Fire is Singapore-based and the developer is not from China. The game was one of the most downloaded games in India last year, and had taken up the space created by PUBG Mobile after it was banned in September 2020. The app was already removed from the Google Play Store and App Store in India, as described by Indian Express on Sunday.
